Winifred Dimitt Hollingsworth, 88, died February 25, 1991 in Salt Lake City.

Born October 26, 1902 in Kokomo, Indiana, daugher of William Cloyd and Hattie Mae Raine Dimitt. At the age of three, Winifreds' mother died and she was then raised by her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Della M. Raines. She married Roy J. Hollingsworth, May 31, 1925 at the Methodist Church in Marion, Indiana. Moved to Utah in 1929. Past president of Local Women's Society of Christian Service. Past president of Utah Western District Women's Society of Christian Service. Treasurer four years at Rocky Mountain Conference Women's Society of Christian Service. Employed over nine years as Parish Visitor of First Methodist Church. Formerly employed as cashier of South Kokomo Bank in Indiana and supervisor of check writing division of Federal Disbursing Office during the depression years. Member of Chapter "I" P.E.O. Sisterhood. Former board member of Cross-Roads Urban Center. Also active in Southern Utah Methodist Mission work. Member of First United Methodist Church.Survived by: sister, Mrs. Thomas J. Berry of Philadelphia; several cousins, nieces and nephews in Indiana. Preceded in death by a sister, Mary F. Dimitt.

Funeral services 11 a.m. Friday, March 1st, at First United Methodist Church, 203 So. 200 East. Friends may call Thursday evening 7-8 p.m. at Evans and Early Mortuary, 574 East First South, and one hour prior at the church Friday. Interment, Salt Lake Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Foundation Funda of First United Methodist Church, Salt Lake City, Utah.
