Nellie E. Justesen, age 84, Carey, Idaho, died February 21, 1991 at a Boise hospital of natural causes.
Born March 15, 1906 in Boise, Idaho, the daughter of Arthur and Hattie Bransen Loucks, she moved to the Wood River Valley from Boise in 1915. She attended schools in Boise and Carey. Nettie married Owen L. Justesen on September 22, 1921 in Hailey, Idaho. They farmed in Carey until 1955 when they moved to Salt Lake City. There they managed the Hillcrest Apartments until retiring in 1973 and returning to Carey. She was a member of the Progressive Club of Carey, the American Cancer Society and the Carey LDS Church.Surviving are two sons, Ray, Moses Lake, Washington; Keith, Carey; two daughters, Joyce Arrien and Wilma Ross, both of Provo; one brother, Dale Loucks, Yakima, Washington; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and thee great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son.
Memorial services were Monday, February 25, at the Carey LDS Church under the direction of Wood River Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in the Carey Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Elks Rehabilitation Center, 204 Fort Place, Boise, Idaho, 83700.
