Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Edmund E. Hansen, died Sunday, February 24, 1991, at age 59 of a massive cerebral hemorrhage.

Ed was loved by so many and is survived by his wife, Dolores Jean Wolfe; two daughters and their husbands, Joy E. and Darrell Carpenter, Layton; and Julie D. and Kelly Feller, Woods Cross; one brother, Irv Hansen and wife, Norma, Bountiful; and six grandchildren, whom he loved beyond mea- sure, Chris and Lauren Carpenter, and Kasey, Kristen, Bradley and Sadie Feller; nieces and nephews, Lisa Thurman, Richard, KayLyn, Steven, and Eric Hansen; and many members of his wife's family with whom he was very close and by whom he was greatly loved.All who knew Ed instantaneously loved him and loved him forever; he will be greatly missed.

Ed was born June 16, 1931, in Belleville, New Jersey, where he spent his early years. During his military career he was stationed in Newport, Rhode Island, Texas, Wyoming, Korea, Japan, Andrews AFB, Maryland, France, Germany, Ohio, and finally in Centerville, Utah, since 1974. Ed received three bachelor's degrees and a master's degree, and attended the following schools: Belleville High School Class of 1949, U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1956, University of Maryland, Air Force Institute of Technology (Dayton), and Weber State College. He was involved in many activities which included being past president of the Utah Centerville/Farmington Rotary, past president of the Utah League of Writers, Bountiful Chapter, and member of the Davis Schools Foundation Board of Directors and the Utah Scottish Association. He won many prizes for his stories in the Utah League of Writers statewide contests, and currently his latest novel is being handled by an agent to be published. Ed and his wife traveled throughout many countries of the world, making lifetime friends wherever they went. Member of the LDS Church, Centerville 2nd Ward.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28, 3 p.m., at the Centerville 2nd Ward Chapel, 1475 North 50 East. Friends may call at Lindquist Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday evening, and on Thursday, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the ward chapel. Interment, Centerville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Davis School District Foundation.
