A West Valley man was arrested after officers discovered he was carrying a stolen loaded shotgun, marijuana, cocaine, hashish and LSD.

Salt Lake police spotted the man and two others Thursday in a parking lot at 2262 S. Highland Drive after a woman heard one of them say they were going to go kill another woman, a police report stated.Officers found that the man was concealing a loaded .25 caliber handgun. As they continued to pat him down, they also found a small container of cocaine. Police searched the man's vehicle and found two pounds of marijuana, 11/2 ounces of cocaine, 24 hits of LSD, an unspecified amount of hashish and a loaded shotgun, which they later determined was stolen, the report said.

Narcotics officers determined that the man was using false identification from a deceased person. The 43-year-old also had a warrant for his arrest for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute. He was booked into jail on a variety of charges.
