Prosecutors said Marlon Brando's son should be sentenced to 16 years in prison for killing his sister's fiance, but defense lawyers sought leniency, saying he was incapable of a premeditated killing.

A sentencing hearing was scheduled in Superior Court Tuesday afternoon for Christian Brando, 32, who pleaded guilty Jan. 4 to voluntary manslaughter in the May 17 shooting of Dag Drollet. Christian's father and the victim's father, Jacques Drollet, were expected to testify.
