Ida Matilda Jensen Blackham, 93, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away February 23, 1991.
Born July 28, 1897 in Moroni, Utah to Niels Peter and Ida Lauritzen Jensen. Married Alma Emerson Blackham June 12, 1918 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died August 10, 1965. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Her family was the most important part of her life. She had a wonderful talent for sewing and crocheting and left many beautiful mementos of her work with her children and grandchildren.She served in several capacities in the LDS Church organizations.She is survived by one son, three daughters and their spouses, Bernus J. and Marilyn Blackham, Moroni; Ida and Glen Oldroyd, Salt Lake City; Rheta an Bal Harris, Lake Havesu, Ariz.; Betty and Daniel Schofield, Pinebrook, Park City; and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Reed (Mable) Walker, Lindon; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ida Gubler, Ely, Nev.; and Elsa Cooley, Ventura, Calif. Preceded in death by son Coy Blackham and a grandson.
Funeral services Tuesday, February 26, 11 a.m., Moroni LDS Stake Center. Friends call at the stake center one hour prior to services. Interment, Moroni Cemetery under direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home.
