The Utah Film & Video Center will premiere "Sonnet," by local filmmaker Flint Esquerra, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the Salt Lake Art Center auditorium. A reception with Esquerra will immediately follow the screening.

Esquerra, a local artist, won the 1985 Best Comedy Short Award in Utah Short Film and Video Festival competition. A Brigham Young University graduate, he has worked on such productions as "Raising Arizona," "When Harry Met Sally," "LBJ: The Early Years" and "Young Guns II." He has been working on "Sonnet" for two years, editing in the UFVD editing facility.The Utah Film & Video Center is a nonprofit organization for the media arts. For more information, call 534-1184.
