Annie Henriette Denstad Erikson Zenger, age 81, passed away February 22, 1991 in Salt Lake City.

She was born on November 30, 1909 in Salt Lake City to Alfred and Inga Krogh-Olsen Denstad. She was educated in Salt Lake City schools and graduated from LDS Business College. She married Alvin R. Erikson, March 30, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 26, 1970. Married John H. Zenger, July 29, 1974 in Salt Lake City.She was a member of the LDS Church, serving a mission in the North Central States. She was the librarian for many years in the Cottonwood 12th Ward. She also served as teacher in Sunday School, MIA, Primary, Genealogy classes, and as president of both Relief Society and Primary Stake Boards in the Imperial 2nd Ward.

Annie and husband, John, taught AARP Defensive Driving Courses for Senior Citizens for many years. Her love of travel took her to various places around the world. She especially loved to visit the homeland of her ancestors, Norway. In 1987 she fulfilled a dream of many years by taking her husband, children and their spouses to Norway and the other Scandinavian countries. She had a long and active association with many friends in the Swedes Club.

She is survived by her husband, John; and four children, Vannette E. Seward, Jeniel E. Smith (Mrs. Tracy D.), Deveda E. Vernon (Mrs. R. Don), all Salt Lake City; Norman A. Erikson (Cindy), Washington DC; two step-children, Jerry Zenger (Marie), Salt Lake City; Jack Zenger (Holly), Palo Alto, California; she also had 28 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a special sister-in-law, Ruth E. Myers.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 25, at 11 a.m. at the Cottonwood 12th Ward, 1750 East Spring Lane (5200 South). Friends may call Sunday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Mackay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive and one hour prior to service at Church. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Mackay Cottonwood Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the charity of your choice.
