Georgia Parkin Carter, age 76, passed away February 21, 1991, at the Utah Valley Hospital.
Born April 21, 1914 in Nephi, Utah to George Herbert and Lucy Isabelle Fowkes Parkin. Married James Henry Carter, April 12, 1934 in Provo, Utah; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He passed away April 4, 1980. She was active in the LDS Church serving in many positions. She served a mission to Arcadia, California and a temple mission with her husband. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and doing handicrafts.Survived by four sons and three daughters, James Merrill Carter, Bennion, Utah; Arthur Lee Carter, West Jordan, Utah; Mrs. Ken (Myrna) Ashby, Springville, Utah; Jerry Lynn Carter, Driggs, Idaho; Mrs. Jim (Myda) Carter, Nephi, Utah; David Hal Carter, Levan, Utah; Margaret Howard, Nephi, Utah; 28 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters, Lynn, Harold and Frank Parkin, all of Nephi, Utah; Leola Gadd, Nephi, Utah; Mrs. Don (Beth) Christiansen, Springville; Lucille Wall, Santaquin, Utah. Preceded in death by two brothers John and Carl Parkin and one sister, Ruth Parkin Hansen.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 25, 1991, 11 a.m., in the Nephi 5th Ward. Friends may call Sunday evening 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Nephi and at the church one hour prior to service. Interment: Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi.
