Mary B. Boyer passed away at her home in Mesa, Arizona, February 17, 1991.

She was the seventh child of John Selvoy and Susannah Bailey Jarrett Boyer. Born in Springville, Utah on November 10, 1906, she was left a cripple at age three from a fall and high fever, and had her first of many operations at age six. She attended schools in Springville and one year in Montana; took correspondence courses at home; attended Henager Business College and LDS Business College. She taught Primary and MIA girls in the Springville Second Ward of the LDS Church, was a secretary to Dr. John Anderson, and did genealogy research on the American Boyer records. She took beauty college training and had her own beauty shop in Springville from 1940 to 1961. She worked as a beautician in Salt Lake City and at Jackson Lake Lodge for several summers. She continued as a beautician in Mesa, Arizona until 1986.She is survived by: Two brothers, Arthur C. Boyer, of Midvale; and Edward H. Boyer, of Springville; and by a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held in Mesa, Arizona on Thursday, February 21, and at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, in Springville at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 23. Friends may call at the mortuary between 1 and 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
