Because of resident input, the Orem City Council postponed a decision to amend the city's master plan and rezone an area at 1200 W. Center St.
This week, the council is once again scheduled to make that decision, which would change the zoning on four parcels of land from "traditional" to "highway services."In other business, the council will decide whether to amend the Solid Waste and Nuisance ordinances of the city code to accommodate some neighbors of University Mall, who recently complained about how the mall was handling its waste.
Also, there will be a proposal for a new children's library and a decision to set a date for a bond election for the city's new sports facility near Utah Lake.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the City Council chambers at 56 N. State Street.
