A Saudi newspaper Monday likened Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to a serpent and urged the world to "cut off his head."

"Getting rid of the serpent, Saddam Hussein, can only be done by cutting the head, and this is what the international community should do to the tyrant and his treacherous regime," said the Dammam daily Al-Yom.In a commentary carried by the official Saudi press agency SPA, the paper said: "The victories scored by the joint forces on the first day of the ground war clearly showed that the end of Iraqi forces is imminent and the return of Kuwait is now fully guaranteed," it added.
