Folk dancing, culture booths, speakers from the LDS Church and the Soviet Union, a talent show and a carnival will be part of International Week at Brigham Young University Monday, Feb. 25, through Saturday, March 2.

The Brigham Young University Student Service Association and the David M. Kennedy Center International Outreach Programs are sponsoring the events. For more information, call Holly Jensen at 378-7188.Some highlights include Peter Serdirekov speaking Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Conference Room (238 Clark Building) about glasnost and perestroika from a Soviet perspective.

Thursday's featured speakers are Elder Yoshihiko Kikuchi, a member of the LDS Church's First Quorum of the Seventy, lecturing at 11 a.m. in the Wilkinson Center Ballroom and Howard Ruff speaking at 4 p.m. in the Wilkinson Center East Ballroom. A talent show extravaganza will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Wilkinson Center Ballroom.

U.S. Rep. Bill Orton will speak Friday at 4 p.m. in the Wilkinson Center East Ballroom about becoming an individual ambassador. An international carnival featuring food, games, Latin dancing and a dance will begin at 8 p.m. Friday in the Wilkinson Center Ballroom.

Activities will conclude with the BYU "World Cup Soccer" Tournament exhibition match Saturday at 3:30 p.m. on BYU's south field.
