Police are investigating several tips received about a bomb found last Sunday taped to the window of a building in southeast Provo.
Provo police are working with the Utah County Sheriff's Office, Orem police and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms on the case. The bureau is analyzing the bomb to determine what kind of explosives it contained and how it was made, said Capt. Duane Fraser. However, Provo police say the bomb is similar to one found Jan. 28 at the Orem City Library. Fraser also indicated the bomb was "homemade."
"We very seldom see homemade explosives," Fraser said.
Police have "absolutely no indication what (the bomber's motive) was at all," he said.
