Dorothy Christena Andersen Reynolds, 82 of Richfield, died February 18, 1991 at a Bountiful care center.
She was born March 7, 1908 in Central Sevier County Utah to Soren and Christine Marie Sorensen Andersen. Married Charles Dowler, December 2, 1930 in San Luis Obispo, Calif., later divorced. Married Paul Fletcher Reynolds, July 3, 1947 in Central Utah; marriage later solemnized September 20, 1950 in the Manti LDS Temple. She was a registered nurse working in doctor's offices and hospitals in California and Utah. She was last employed by Sevier Valley Hospital until her retirement. She loved the out of doors and loved fishing and hunting with her family. She was known for her excellent nursing abilities, cooking skills and beautiful handwork. Active member of the LDS Church with her husband they served a LDS Mission to Atlanta, Georgia; in the winters they would do temple work in the St. George and Mesa Temples. They served in the Richfield Branch Genealogy Library and as Manti LDS Temple workers on several occasions. Member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.Survived by her husband, Paul, Richfield; a son and two daughters, Mrs. LaVar (Marilyn) Thalman; Charles Bert and his wife Margot Dowler, all of Bountiful; Mrs. David (Joanne) Weaver, Denver, Colorado; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Arlene Andersen; Mrs. Eddie (LaRue) Johnson, both Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Roland (Thelma) Schramm, Pleasant Grove; 22 grandchildren; 82 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren; a brother and two sisters, Mrs. Verl (Luzon) Peterson, Mrs. Naomi Newell, both Richfield; Talmage Andersen, Central Valley, Utah. Preceded in death by parents and an infant daughter, eight brothers and sisters, Rhoda, Syril, Ruben, Ruth, Ernest, Helen and Dona.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 23, 1991 at 11 a.m. in the Richfield 2nd/5th LDS Ward Chapel, 400 No. 200 West; friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and again Saturday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial, Richfield City Cemetery.
