Thelma Florence Knight passed away on February 18, 1991 in Salt Lake City.
She was born in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Louis M. and Florence Smith Knight. She received her formal education in local schools, graduating from East High School. She received her career training at Salt Lake Business College. Her first employment was at the Salt Lake Hardware Co. She was an executive secretary for the Anaconda Copper Company until her retirement. Thelma served as president of the Altrusa Club. She also was associated with the Salt Lake Council of Women. She greatly loved the game of golf and had membership at the Oakridge Country Club. She was a member of the LDS Church and served a stake mission.She is survived by her brother, L. Gates Knight and his wife, LaVerne Kjar; sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Mary Knight) Stohl, both of Salt Lake City; four nieces and nephews, Mrs. W. Squires (Eleanor Stohl) Poelman; Mrs. David N. (Bette Ann Knight) Kempe; Dr. John L. Stohl and his wife, Alice; Stephen Gates Knight and his wife, Kathie.
Graveside services will be held Friday, 2 p.m., February 22, 1991 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to services at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
