Calvin Keith Florence, 65, died February 17, 1991 in Holladay, Utah.

Born October 22, 1925 in Holladay to Henry Samuel and Abigail Hintze Florence. Married Jean DeGarmo in 1948; later divorced. Married Patricia Murphy, June 15, 1969; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He attended Salt Lake City Schools and graduated from East High in 1946. Served in Merchant Marines and the Coast Guard during World War II. Worked for Surety Life Insurance, where he was a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable. Served as President of Surety Life's Leaders Club, and was the company's nominee for the industry's All Star Honor Roll. He was a real estate broker for 17 years. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church, also served as Sunday School President, Young Mens President, activity committee member and on the stake farm committee. Participated in many theatrical productions such as "Tribute To America", "Fiddler On The Roof" and "Radio Broadcast Of The Star". He was proud that he was an Eagle Scout and loved his experiences of being a Little League baseball coach.Survived by his wife, Salt Lake City; sons and daughters, Dr. Lauren O. and wife, Casey "C.K. Jr.", Kristine L., Kari, Collin M., all of Salt Lake City; M. Taylor Florence, Portland, Oregon; six grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Margaret Perri, Betty Gladden, Henry Samuel Florence Jr., Giles H. Florence, Anne Powell, Beverly Pollei, Maxine Gonzales, Penny Tolman, Ken Ingleby. Preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian Florence and LaRue Florence.

Funeral Services Friday, February 22, 11 a.m., Holladay First Ward Chapel, 4568 South Holladay Blvd. Friends may call Thursday evening, 6:30-8 p.m. at MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive in Holladay, and Friday at the ward one hour prior to services. Interment: Eastlawn Memorial Hills in Provo. Funeral Directors: MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary.
