Thelma Elizabeth Brotherson Olsen, 75, of Moroni, passed away of cancer February 16, 1991 at the home of her daughter, Lynn in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Born December 16, 1915 in Bonita, Duchesne County to William N. and Annie Bernside Brotherson. Married Oman LeRoy Olsen of Moroni, September 30, 1944 in Elko, Nevada. Marriage later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. Received BS degree at BYU; masters and phd equivilent from Flagstaff, Ariz. Taught school over 40 years in Tabiona, Emmery, Fairview, Fountain Green, and Mesquite, Nevada. Member of the LDS Church; served in all auxilliaries. She and her husband served missions in Zimbabwe, Africa; Sidney, Australia; as well as Moroni Stake Name Extraction missions; Manti LDS Temple visitors center missions, and Moroni Stake missions. They served as hosts at the Las Vegas LDS Temple dedication, and attended the dedication of the Johannesburg, South Africa LDS Temple.Survived by husband, Moroni; two sons, three daughters and spouses, Kyle and Linda Olsen, Long Beach, California; Craig and Diane Olsen, Sheryl Reese, Lynn and Mark Lerner, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; Deborah and William Campbell, Orem; and brother, Blaine Brotherson, Talmage; sister, Ila B. Tidwell, Mt. Pleasant; 18 grandchildren.

Funeral services Thursday February 21, 1 p.m. in the Moroni Stake Center. Friends may call at Ursenbach Funeral Home Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday at the Stake Center from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Burial, Moroni City Cemetery.
