Mabel Wahlquist, 87, died Sunday, February 17, 1991 at a local nursing home of causes incident to age.

She was born January 7, 1904 in Heber City, a daughter of Charles J. and Elizabeth Campbell Wahlquist. She was reared and educated in Heber City and had lived in Provo, Myton, Salt Lake City, Boise, Idaho; Minneapolis, Minnesota; before returning to Utah where she had resided for the past 40 years. She was a member of the LDS Church and served a mission in Canada and also in various other church positions. She was a member of the B.P.W. and Soroptimist Club where she had served as past president. She had been a buyer for The Bon Marche.Surviving are many nieces and nephews; and Heinze C. Christiansen, whom she had sponsored to America in 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and her sister-in-law, the late Ruth F. Wahlquist, whom she had lived with for many years in Ogden.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, one hour prior to the services. Interment: Heber City Cemetery.
