Vernon Pehrson Fawson, age 84, died February 18, 1991 of acute heart failure at his home.
Born September 15, 1906 in Grantsville, to Joshua A. and Charlotte Pehrson Fawson. Graduated from Grantsville High School and attended University of Utah. Married Christina Gregerson, January 16, 1942, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died October 21, 1967. Married Ina Murray Tucker in the Provo LDS Temple, April 1, 1972. Active member LDS Church. Served as member of the Bishopric Grantsville Second Ward, Stake High Councilor, and his most cherished position, Home Teacher. Served two missions with his wife, Ina. One in the Tonga Nulculofa Mission, 1976-77 and in the Texas Dallas Mission 1986-87. He devoted his whole life to his family, his church and his farm in Grantsville.Survived by his wife, Ina; three sons, Alan E. Miner, San Clemente, California; Don E. Fawson, Salt Lake City; David V. Fawson, Grantsville; two daughters, Janet Miller, Dos Palos, California; Deana Johansen, Grantsville; four stepchildren, Charles Tucker, Fran Biagi, Santa Rosa, California; Keith Tucker, The Dalles, Oregon; Karen Waters, Irvington, New York; 42 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services Friday, February 22, 11 a.m., Grantsville Stake Center, 550 East Durfee. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the Tate Mortuary Chapel in Tooele, and 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to funeral Thursday at the church. Burial, Grantsville City Cemetery.
