Irma Woods Rampton Wright McCleve passed away peacefully after a long illness from leukemia, February 17, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born October 10, 1912 in Sweet, Idaho, to Harry Woods and Edith (Nana) Woods Howes. Irma will be dearly missed by her family and friends from all walks of life. In past years, she had been active in the Ladies Literary Club, Daria Associaiton, Bonneville Knife & Fork Club, and a past-president of the Ladies Woolgrower's Association. Irma's friends will remember her skills and talents with horses, oil painting, gardening, and golf. She was especially admired for her knowledge of the many places that she had traveled to and so enjoyed.She is survived by her husband, Parley R. McCleve; daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Reed Schultz, and Anita and James Mumford. She has ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. All are residents of Salt Lake City, Utah. Also surviving are five step-daughters, Myrtle W. Allen, Virginia R. Hardman, Verna W. Metcalf, Lois W. Enders and Evelyn W. Rodeback.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 21st, 11 a.m. at the Murray Twenty-third Ward, 755 East Three Fountains Drive (4960 South), Murray, (located in the Three Fountains Condominium Complex) where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Aultorest Memorial Park Cemetery, 836 36th Street, Ogden, under the direction of Larkin Mortuary of Salt Lake City. The family wishes to express their appreciation to her physicians and the St. Joseph Villa staff, who allowed her dignity to be maintained during the last weeks of her illness. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made in her name to either: KUED (for public broadcasting), 101 Gardner Hall, SLC, UT 84112; or the Leukemia Research Foundation, 610 East South Temple St., SLC, UT 84102.
