Thelma Kay, 84, died February 16, 1991 in Provo, Utah, due to a sudden illness.
Born September 21, 1906 in Milford, Utah to John William and Celia Eveline Ewing Kay. She married Archie John Kay April 5, 1926 in Manti; the marriage was later solemnize in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He preceded her in death October 26, 1986. She received her education in the Mona school and Nephi High School. She worked for O.P. Skaggs and J.C. Penney Co. She was a member of the LDS Church, served in various positions. Aunt Thelma always made us laugh. She loved sports and especially enjoyed BYU football and basketball. We will miss her dearly.She is survived by one sister, Norma Kay Taylor, Payson; three nieces and 11 nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, John Marlo Kay.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 20, 1991, at 11:00 a.m. at the Provo 7th Ward LDS Chapel, 200 South 100 East, Provo. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center, Provo, on Tuesday evening 6-8 p.m or on Wednesday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment in the Mona City Cemetery.
