Our beloved Wilber P. (Bill) Lund, 75, of Manti, died February 16, 1991 at his childhood home in Manti.

He was born July 9, 1950 to Ray P. and Margaret Braithwaite Lund in Manti. He married Pearl Virginia Evershed May 15, 1937; the marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a graduate of Sanpete County schools and Snow College. He worked for Sweet Candy Company of Salt Lake City for 42 years and served in several Western State Traffic Management associations. He supported his country in WW II. and was a volunteer police officer and Big Brother. He served the LDS Church as bishop of the McKay Ward, stake high councilman, and in the presidency of the Manti LDS Temple. His life was rich.He is survived by his wife, Pearl; brother, Keith; daughters, Linda Hendarson; and Leslie Demick; sons, Michael, Steven, Kirk, and David; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Kirk and Morgan.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 12 noon, in the Manti LDS Stake Center, where friends call Tuesday, 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Interment in the Manti City Cemetery.
