The University of Utah women's basketball team clinched a berth in the upcoming four-team WAC Tournament and, in the process, doused Colorado State's hopes at a bid, with a 66-51 win over the Rams, Friday. Utah, which improved its record to 16-10 (7-3 WAC), got only 11 points from its two leading scorers in league play (Karen Alcorn and Mikki Kane) but double-figure games by Brenda Alcorn (16 points), Tanya Zachary (15 points) and Kelly Shaheen (11 points) pushed the Utes past CSU. Melanee Brooks-McQueen dished off nine assists. Colorado State dropped to 9-15 (2-7 WAC). Utah hosts Wyoming, an overtime winner over BYU, tonight at 7:30 in the Huntsman Center.
