Nine Islamic Conference Organization members opened gulf war talks Thursday, and Arab diplomats said the meeting was expected to call on Iraq to withdraw immediately from Kuwait.

The meeting is being attended by the foreign ministers of Egypt, Kuwait, Gabon, the Maldives, Senegal, Pakistan. In addition, Saudi Arabia is being represented by a minister of state and Turkey by its ambassador in Saudi Arabia.Gamal al-Sourani, Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member, headed the PLO delegation to the one-day talks.
