Applications are being accepted for the 12th annual Miss Indian Scholarship Pageant.

Women from all over the state may enter if they are 17 to 26 years old, of good moral character, graduated or will be graduating from high school, able to prove at least one-quarter Indian heritage, not married and never have been married. No fees are required.The Miss Indian Scholarship Pageant is a preliminary Miss Utah/Miss America pageant and uses the same four areas of competition: talent, interview, evening gown and swim suit. The contestants are required to attend the workshops and each will be provided with her own hostess to encourage and help her. All workshops will be held in the Orem/Provo area before the pageant, which will be March 16 at Canyon View Junior High in Orem.
