An advertising campaign with ads titled "Cancun," "Panama" and "Road Hogs" by Fotheringham & Associates for Valley Bank and Trust has received the "Best TV of the Year Award" from Bank Advertising News.

"What makes this recognition particularly rewarding is that Bank Advertising News editors see most of the advertising by nearly every bank in the country," said Steve Thomas, vice president and marketing director for Valley Bank. "Our ads were compared to those from national players, such as Citibank, Chase and First Chicago, and we came out on top," he said.The campaign focuses on customer service portraying actual situations Valley Bank customers have had with the bank.

Thomas said the "Cancun" advertisement also was chosen from a field of 4,000 entries from 43 countries to receive a finalist award at the International Film and TV Festival in New York City.
