Craig William Olsen, age 13, died February 14, 1991 after a fall while sight seeing at Bryce Canyon while he was on his way to Arizona for a soccer tournament.
Born April 7, 1977 in Murray, Utah to W. Terry and Ellen Marie Kofoed Olsen. He was a honor student at Brockbank Jr. High, in the eight grade. Member of the Granite Jr. Youth Symphony, where he played the french horn, and also excelled on the trumpet. He loved sports, played in the America AAA Soccer Club. Member of the LDS Church, where he was presently serving as Deacon's Quorum President. He was Patrol Leader for his troupe in Boy Scouts, and working toward his Eagle. He loved hunting and fishing trips with his family. He was admired by both adults and his friends. He shared everything with everybody, and excelled at everything he tried.Survived by his parents; brother and sisters, Karen, Brian, Sara, and Wendy, all Magna.; grandparents, Lynn and Ila Kofoed, Evanston, Wyo.; Mildred Olsen, Murray; aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by a much loved grandpa, George Olsen.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m., in the Magna South Stake Center, 7731 West 3500 South. Friends may call at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Monday, 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to service. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
