Calvin Henry Bartholomew, Sr., 74, died February 13, 1991 in Friedricksdorf, Germany of a sudden heart attack. He was serving a Family History Mission with his wife at the Genealogy Service center in Germany.
He was born January 8, 1917 in Fayette, Utah to Ray Calvin and Martha Wintsch Bartholomew. He married June Barton December 20, 1941 in the Manti LDS Temple.He is survived by his wife, Provo; five sons and three daughters, Calvin Henry Bartholomew, Jr., Orem; Daniel Ray Bartholomew, Basking Ridge, N.J.; Mrs. Richard (Jean B.) Larsen, Provo; Mrs. Roy (Joann B. ) Tanner, Kirksville, Missouri; Robert Lawrence Bartholomew, Springfield, Mass.; Ralph Barton Bartholomew, Provo; Reid Allan Bartholomew, Provo; Mrs. Terry (Carol Marie) Routt, Columbia, Missouri; 31 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, Dean W. Bartholomew, Fayette; Mrs. Betty Mellor, Fayette; Mrs. Jack (LaRae) Chatelain, Logan; Mrs. Grant (Bessy) Howard, Rexburg, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 19, 11 a.m., at the Bonneville 1st Ward, 85 South 900 East, Provo. Friends may call Monday evening 6-8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center, Provo, and at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be made to LDS Mission Fund.
