Isabella Dalton Buland, 68, died Friday, February 15, 1991 at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City after a long illness.
She was born January 27, 1923 in Willard, Utah, daughter of Alexander Perry and Martha Woodland Dalton.She married Henry C. Buland May 13, 1943; the were later divorced.
After graduating from Weber Junior College in Ogden and Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, she taught school in Corinne and Bunderson elementary schools. She retired in 1986 after a 30 year career.
She served in various LDS Church music callings for nearly 52 years in wards and branches in Utah, Illinois, and New Jersey. She fulfilled three stake mission at the Box Elder Tabernacle.
She was a member of several organizations including the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the Civic Improvement Club.
Since her retirement, she enjoyed genealogy research and completing various ceramic projects with her friends at the Senior Center in Brigham City.
Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Becky
Buland of Brigham Ciyt; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara B. and Val Campbell of Raleigh, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Brian, Barry and Beth Buland, Brigham City; Dennis Campbell of White Plains Maryland; and Scot Campbell serving with the U.S. Army in Saudi Arabia.
Also surviving are her mother, Martha Dalton of Brigham City; two brothers, Alexander P. Dalton of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and Ralph D. Dalton of Roy; and a sister, Mrs. Vernon (Dian) Drewes of Brigham City. She was preceded in death by her father and an infant sister.
Services will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m., at the Brigham City First Ward, with Bishop Grant Christiansen conducting. Friends may call at the Petersen Funeral Chapel Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Willard City Cemetery.
