Our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and best grandpa in the whole world, Lynn Jay McHenry, age 71, passed away February 14, 1991 at his winter residence in Palm Desert, California.

Born December 20, 1919 in Murray, Utah to Sam B. and Florence McGhie McHenry. Married Virginia Holmes, November 14, 1941, marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He attended Murray schools, graduated from Murray High School in 1937, also attended LDS Business College, and the University of Utah. Jay proudly served his country as a Master Sergeant, Headquarters Company 5th Army in Italy during World War II. Upon returning from the war, he was made Director of Personnel for Salt Lake County. Later worked for O.J. Wilkinson as Sales Manager, Utah Truck Equipment Company. Jay was the owner and President of Rocky Mountain Dental Supply for over 25 years. Upon retirement he served as a consultant for the small business owners. Jay and Virginia have been active member in High Steppers Dance Club for 35 years. Long time member of Willow Creek Country Club. He loved his sons dearly and was immensely proud of them. His greatest desire was to live to watch his grandchildren grow up.Survived by wife, sons, Joel Jay, and Robert Lynn, daughter-in-law, LeeAnn, grandsons, Tyler Jay. and Richard James, brother, Vere. Preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Max.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 20, 12 noon, Big Cottonwood 11th Ward, 1830 East 6400 So. Friends may call Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State, Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church 10:30-11:45 a.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery. In lieu fo flowers the family suggests contributions be made to American Diabetic Association, 643 East 400 So., SLC, Utah 84102
