A proposed $85 million, 223-mile natural gas pipeline would allow natural-gas producers in eastern Utah to send their product to Midwest markets.

Colorado Interstate Gas Co., a subsidiary of Houston-based Coastal Corp.,has filed an application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission seeking approval for the 20-inch-diameter line.The line would run from eastern Utah, through northwestern Colorado and connect with an existing line near Wamsutter, Wyo. Two compressor stations would be included in the project.
