Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac says he opened a blues club in Los Angeles in order to fill a cultural gap.

"Somehow blues clubs have never lasted in this city," he said. "They've always been fly-by-night."Bo Diddley provided the entertainment for the opening night of Fleetwood's last week and the crowd included John and Christine McVie from Fleetwood Mac, Rod Stewart, John Lee Hooker, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, the singing trio Wilson Phillips and actor Gary Busey.
