"Contemporary Utah Women," an exhibit featuring the work of 13 women artists, is currently on exhibit at Whitmore Library, 2197 E. 70000 South, Sandy.

The exhibit is under the curatorship of the Utah Women's Art Project, which is the state chapter of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, located in Washington, D.C.In conjunction, Whitmore Library will present a program entitled, "Traditional Utah Women Artists" on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 7 p.m.

Carol Edison, representing Utah Arts Council's Folklife Program, will host the presentation. The program will include slide presentations and discussions concerning the works of several contemporary women artists. The discussion will include where and how they learned their art and how their art is part of their traditional ethnic background.
