Dr. Brian Zehnder, Salt Lake City, has been appointed resident representative to the Commission on Health Care Services of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the national organization for family doctors.

The commission is designed to study and develop recommendations on the delivery of health-care services and payment.The national organization was instrumental in establishing the medical specialty of family practice in 1969. The specialty now has certified more than 30,000 doctors and is supported by 386 residency training programs in medical centers across the nation.
