Light rail for the Wasatch Front will be debated at a Wednesday, Feb. 20, meeting of the Society of Automotive Engineers.

Speakers representing both sides of the issue will be John Inglish, assistant general manager of the Utah Transit Authority, which would build and operate the system; and former legislator Bill Barton, co-founder of Area Leaders for Responsible Transportation, a group of Salt Lake County government leaders who question the light-rail proposal.Taking place during National Engineers Week, the debate will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Salt Lake County Commission chambers at 2001 S. State.
