The Utah National Parks Council of the Boy Scouts of America has been recognized as one of the top 10 councils in number of youths registered, Scout executive Rees Falkner said.

The council is 10th out of 420 councils nationwide in the number of youths registered in Scouting. The council, which covers central and southern Utah, has 46,045 boys in the four programs of Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Varsity Scouting and Exploring.The greatest concentration of boys is in the Cubbing and Boy Scout programs.
