REGISTER now for a cross country learn-to-ski program through Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation and Solitude Nordic Center. Instruction covers various techniques of track and telemark skiing. Salt Lake City municipal golf courses will begin taking reservations for group tournaments Friday, Feb. 1, 7 a.m. Reservations will be taken by phone or in person at the golf courses. Groups must have a minimum of 20 players. Cost per player for 18 holes is $14. Carts are mandatory.
DEADLINE for registration for the Sandy City Recreation Boys' Baseball and Girls' Softball is March 6. Players - 8 to 14 for boys and 7 to 16 for girls - can register at Sandy City Recreation, 1220 E. 9400 South, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., or at Alta Canyon Recreation Center, 9565 S.
