Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Cecil Mark Owens, age 70, passed away peacefully Feb. 12, 1991, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Cecil was born June 24, 1920, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Marcus and Irene Poulton Owens. He married Bernice D. Mais on July 7, 1946 in Idaho Falls, Idaho; later solemnized in the LDS Temple. Active High Priest in the LDS Church. Served his country during World War II. Owned and operated Kitchen Queen Foods in Idaho Falls until 1969 when he moved to Salt Lake to work for Country Crisp Foods until his retirement. Cecil was a compassionate and loving individual who was respected and admired by all. His passing saddens our hearts and leaves a great void in our lives. He was truly an inspiration to all who knew him.Survivors include his wife, Bernice, Salt Lake City; two sons and two daughters, Larry (wife Mary) Owens, Sandpoint, Idaho; Merrill (wife Christie) Owens, Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; Coleen Rowe (husband Ervin Bartha), Salt Lake City; Kathleen (husband Robert) Eldred, Sandpoint, Idaho; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, Feb 15, 1991, 11 a.m., at the Olympus 2nd Ward, 3070 East Nila Way (4170 So.), with Bishop Steven Finlinson officiating. Friends may call Thursday, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Rosehill Cemetery in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
