The Weber State Wildcats are back at home tonight to try to avenge an earlier loss this season when they play the University of Montana Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. MST in the Dee Events Center.
The Wildcats are 10-11 overall and 5-5 in Big Sky conference play. The 5-5 mark puts the Wildcats in fifth place, a game behind Montana State. Weber has three home games and three road games left on its schedule.The Grizzlies have the best overall record in the league at 18-6 and are atop the Big Sky standings with a 10-2 record. Montana's two league losses have come on the road at Nevada and at Boise State. The Grizzlies are on a current three-game winning streak and have won 11 of their last 13 games.
In the first game this year, Montana's dominance on the boards spelled trouble for the Wildcats. The Grizzlies outrebounded the 'Cats 44-30 overall and 21-11 on the offensive end. In the end, the score was 72-60 for the Grizzlies.
Probable starters for Montana are Kevin Kearney (6-4, forward), Delvon Anderson (6-4, forward), Daren Engellant (6-10, center), Eric Jordan (6-2, guard) and Roger Fasting (6-5, guard).
Fasting led Montana last week with game highs of 18 and 14 points vs. Nevada and Northern Arizona. Engellant leads the conference in blocked shots with 50.
