When asked what Crime Solvers is, people often respond, "It's one of those cop drama shows," or "It's a board game, right?"
Not quite. Crime Solvers is one of the most effective weapons law enforcement in Utah has in the war on drugs and crime. It is one of several successful programs sponsored by the non-profit Utah Council for Crime Prevention.Thanks to tips from Deseret News readers and television viewers, Crime Solvers has helped solve 807 felony cases in Utah since the program began in July of 1985. Hundreds of criminals have been put behind bars and $2.1 million in property and drugs have been recovered.
