Some 20 business executives from all parts of the country will be in Salt Lake City Aug. 24-25 for a meeting of the executive board of the U.S. Small Business Administration Advisory Council.
R. Kent Moon, Utah SBA director, said the council meeting will begin with a reception Aug. 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the Red Lion Hotel at which time Lt. Gov. W. Val Oveson will receive an award for his support of small business. Earlier this year, Oveson held a series of meetings in many parts of Utah to determine how small business could be helped.The meeting will be held Aug. 25 at 8:30 a.m. in Little America Hotel hosted by Stanley W. Parrish, Washington, D.C., a native Utahn who is associate deputy SBA administrator, and Jerry W. Johnson, national advisory council chairman.
Council members are scheduled to discuss such topics as international trade, capital formation, world development and taxation.
