Beth Macfarlane Bowcutt, 77, died Sunday February 10, 1991 at the Logan Regional Hospital.

She was born December 14, 1913 in Elba, Idaho, the daughter of Robert Downey and Rowane Udy Macfarlane. She married Joseph H. Bowcutt Jr. on Feb. 21, 1934 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on April 9, 1937. He died February 23, 1964. She was a member of the LDS Church, serving in the Relief Society. She worked at Utah State University for a number of years before retiring. She loved her grandchildren and spent a lot of time with them.Survivors include; two sons, James and Linda Bowcutt, Boise, Idaho; Joe and Marlene "Rowdy" Bowcutt, St. George; two daughters, Mrs. Garth (Barbara) Vest, Mayfield; Kris Bowcutt, River Heights; one foster daughter, Chris Yazzie Carzares, Provo; four brothers, Reed and Ranee Macfarlane, Ogden; Jay and Cleo Macfarlane, Ted and Lynnette Macfarlane, Ferris and Arlene Macfarlane, all of Riverside; three sisters, Mrs. Burnell (Rowane) Roundy, Fielding; Mrs. Alph (Leone) White, River Heights; Mrs. Ed (Ardene) Millar, Ogden; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 1991 at 12 noon in the River Heights LDS Ward Chapel, 800 South 600 East, with Bishop William Farnsworth conducting. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, and at the ward on Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial, Logan City Cemetery.
