Carlos Ray Boswell, age 69, passed away February 9, 1991 at a Provo rest home after a long illness.
He was born September 25, 1921 at Nephi, Utah to Don Carlos and Fontella Memmott Boswell. He married Jeniel Draper, July 28, 1941 in the Manti LDS Temple. She passed away February 17, 1988. Ray loved his family and liked to hunt, fish, farm, work and be with his cattle. He owned and operated a service station for many years and worked for Nephi Rubber Products. He served in the Pacific during World War II. Was a member of the LDS Church. Through his example his children learned to give of themselves, to love, to work, to conquer problems and overcome defeat.Survived by two sons and two daughters, Stephen, Nephi; Mrs. Gordon (Ann) Kirk, Mrs. Rod (Jean) Taylor, both of Spanish Fork; Kelly, Aurora, Utah; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Lynn Boswell, Nephi. Preceded in death by wife; daughter Elaine; sister Emma; grandson, Ronald.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 1991 at the Nephi 3rd Ward, friends may call Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi. Interment, Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi.
