Virginia Branch Gunderson Holman, age 74, died February 9, 1991 at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born February 1, 1917, in Wellington, Utah to Ezra and Violet Hanson Branch. Married Frank Gunderson May 7, 1941. He died October 31, 1945, while serving his country during World War II. Married Joe A. Holman, February 1, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Virginia was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, having served in the Primary presidency, and as a teacher. She also served as a Relief Society visiting teacher, and Relief Society beautification chairperson wherein she provided beautiful floral arrangements and decorations for many events in the ward. She was active in many social clubs over the years.Survived by her husband; son, Frank Keith Gunderson and his wife, Judy; granddaughter, Suzy Gunderson; two sisters, Mrs. Vaughn (Juanita B.) Pettey and Berniece Hopkins; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Louise Chiara, Paul and Annie Johnson and John Holman. Preceded in death recently by her grandson, Joseph Frank Gunderson.
Funeral services, Wednesday, Feb. 13th, 1 pm, in the Olympus 3rd Ward, 4100 South Camille (Lincoln Lane at 4100 South and 2400 East), Salt Lake City. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Tuesday 6-8 pm, and at the ward Wednesday, one hour prior to services.
