W. Jerry Ungricht, age 52, died suddenly following an injury,February 10, 1991, in Salt Lake City. He will be tremendouslymissed by all who knew him. Born July 10, 1938, in Richfield Utah, to John William andDycie Elder Ungricht.

After serving four years with the U.S. Navy, he fulfilled a mission for his church to the Northwestern States.On his return he attended B.Y.U., graduating in geology. He married Kathleen Hatch on Dec. 17, 1965 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. He then was a special agent for the FBI for four years prior to his attendance at law school at the University of Utah. He acted as Assistant Utah Attorney General during his career in the field of law. Active High Priest in the LDS Church, where he was currently serving as assistant group leader. Friends and family remember Jerry as a man who was always ready to help and many will remember him for his special kindnesses to them. He is described as a totally generous neighbor. His zest for life was contagious. He enjoyed golf, boating, fishing, reading, studying, gardening and a dozen other hobbies. He could often be found writing family histories or studying Chinese or sharing starts from his beautiful garden. His humor and quick smile and twinkling eyes were his trademark.Most of all, Jerry loved his family and is survived by his wife Kathy; and their four children, Jason, Nancy, Robert and Nathan, all from Salt Lake City. Also surviving is his mother, Dycie; and his brothers and sisters, John Deloy Crofts, Lloyd Ungricht and Carol Partridge, all from Orem, Lillie Maxine Carter of Payson, Samuel and Ralph Ungricht, both of Vancouver Wash., and Richard Ungricht of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 13th, 1:00 pm, at the East Mill Creek Ninth Ward, 3750 South Hillside Lane, with Bishop W. Chris Rosander officiating. Friends may call at the East Millcreek Ninth Ward Chapel, Tuesday, from 6 to 8 pm and on Wednesday for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Sunset Gardens of the Valley.
