Hunt's Manwich is famous for its sloppy joe dinners. Now it also means chili fixins. The 1-pound can contains chili sauce, beans and spices. You add the meat. It retails for $1.79.

Kay Hadley: "We decided Manwich Chili was pretty tasty. We had never tried a Manwich product before but know that they are popular items at the store."Manwich Chili is expensive but perhaps worth a try."

Don Russell: "This new item is not much different from other Manwich products we have tried. It is hearty, tasty and extremely spicy. We actually added more water than the directions called for so we could enjoy this main dish. We think people would get more satisfaction out of this item if they added tomatoes or some other complementary things that go with chili."

Doris Wilding: "If you've ever made chili from scratch, you know how long it takes. We feel this was every bit as good as homemade chili. Our whole family loved it. It had a great taste, I didn't add anything but hamburger and I don't think I'll ever make chili from scratch again!"

Judy Slack: "I was really excited about this because I was predetermined not to like it and thought I'd really have fun saying why. If I want chili - it's open a can and heat it up. But Hunt's Manwich was worth the trouble to cook up your own meat. It was almost like homemade. The beans were good and I really liked it. This is something I would have never ever tried. I'm glad I had to!"

Edyth Jensen: "All you have to do with this chili is add the meat and a little water. It has good flavor and plenty of spice. We will probably use it again sometime when we are in a hurry and want some chili."

Linda C. Tingey: "This was really good. I like something like this on hand so you can put it together when you're in a hurry. My kids liked the flavor."

Conclusion: You may be a chili purist that disdains a canned version but this chili is worth a try! It made real believers of our panelists.
