An aerialist who fell 40 feet from a high wire during a Wednesday performance of the Jordan International Circus in Logan remained in serious but stable condition Saturday in LDS Hospital's intensive-care unit.

Jorge Humberto Castro, 26, Dallas, Texas, was "alert and talking," a nursing supervisor said.The performer suffered a fractured skull, left wrist and left cheekbone when he fell from a high wire at Utah State University's Spectrum.

More than 5,000 people, including hundreds of children, saw the aerialist tumble to a wooden floor after he slipped from the wire.
