Joust playing Cub Scouts were able to sharpen their jousting skills Saturday at the Cub Power Super Fair, held at the Utah State Fairpark's Indoor Exhibition Halls. The next best thing to a time machine, the fair allowed the Cubs to relive the medieval era at the fair's "Sherwood Forest" section. The fair was open to all Cubs, leaders, Tiger Cubs and their families. Among the exhibits were displays featuring mountain men, Tracy Aviary, Woodsy Owl, parks and recreation, and a Salt Lake County Fire Department demonstration. "Max," the star of TV's Don't Waste Utah campaign, was on the schedule, and a video called "Zap Rap," about the powers and perils of electricity, showed continuously at the Bountiful City Power booth. To round it off, disc jockeys from Utah's only radio station just for kids, KDDS, had a booth, too.
