Florence Cragun Leishman, age 86, died February 8, 1991 in a Salt Lake hospital.
She was born October 19, 1904 in Pleasant View, Utah, daughter of Wilford S. and Kate Birt Cragun. Married Mark B. Leishman February 9, 1929 in Los Angeles, California; their marriage was solemnized July 1, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death April 26, 1990. She attended the Smithsonian Business College in Ogden in 1923. She was active in the LDS Church, serving in many positions of leadership, including Relief Society President, Primary President, and Young Women's President. She was an outstanding genealogist, publishing two books. Served as a temple worker in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. All of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, have been wrapped in their own handmade quilts, made by her. She was adored by her grand and great-grandchildren, who will miss her warmth and unconditional love.She is survived by her sons, Brent and Marilyn Leishman, Bountiful; President Lowell and Connie Leishman, presently serving as president of the Philippines Bocolad Mission; Gary and Yvonne Leishman, Farmington; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 12, 1991, at 12 noon, in the Bountiful 11th Ward Chapel, 2000 South Orchard Drive. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m., at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary Chapel, 295 North Main, and Tuesday at the church, 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
